City life v/s Small town life

Life in cities is changing a lot day by day. One main reason for this is the influence of western culture on Indians. I had been on a trip to some interior villages and small towns down south. I could find a big difference in the lifestyle of people there and in cities. In cities, people spend most of their time working. They spend less time with family and friends. Most part of the day people are working. There are many people who work on Sundays also. In small towns, money and work is not given as much importance as in cities. The pace of life is slow. People give more time for family. The way people think is very different these days. It is very difficult to find a person whom you can trust on completely. It is very difficult to find a person who can give his life for you. There is a striking difference in the way people talk to each other in cities and in small towns. In towns people are very nice to each other. They are very welcoming. They talk very sweetly to each other and believe in strong family bonding. In cities people are frustrated and stressed out with work most of time. There is lot of competition in everything. They remove their frustration on outsiders. People can even cheat on their friends for money and success. This has become the city people mentality. People in cities have become selfish and everyone sees their own benefit. It is very difficult to find people who go out of their way and help others. Life in cities is becoming very superficial and up to some extent fake. There is a craze for money and success but people are not realizing the real happiness is given by close ones which money cannot buy. This is the basic difference between the lifestyle in cities and small towns.
